Thank you to everyone who gave me such loving support and encouragement in my last journal entry. :hug: I really just wanted to get that journal off my front page, so I'm writing this one. I went to visit my brother and his family in New Mexico for about 6 weeks, and took lots of pictures with my toy cameras while I was there. I've uploaded some of the Polaroids already, the others are still waiting to be developed. I'm looking forward to seeing how the rolls from the Holga turn out.

Every new year's for the last 5 years or so, I've hoped that that would be the year my life would get better. And every year has more or less been worse than the one before it. My husband got sicker every year, able to do less and less, with no diagnosis for his headaches. My ill-fated stint as a real-estate agent failed spectacularly, and I've been basically unemployed for the last 2 years. I've officially given up hoping for anything. Nothing ever gets better. So, I've been noticing that some of the things I :+fav: aren't showing up in my favorites. :  Has anyone else had this issue? The new message center bugs me, I kinda liked it better the old way. I saw The Dark Knight; it friggin' ruled. I still need a job. I'm getting a Holga soon, but I don't know where I can take the film to have it processed. Scrambled eggs and rice are good for breakfast. We had an earthquake last week. I need some new fish. I can't wait for Battlestar Galactica and Heroes to come back. The palm trees down the street need to be groomed. You can tell which cities have money by how well-groomed their palm trees are
